Archival Hunt: Missing Historical Intel Chipset INF Installers

Hello everyone,

I'm the maintainer of the Universal Intel Chipset Updater. The tool relies on an extensive local database created by extracting INF files from every available official Intel installer.

During my recent deep-dive into Intel's embedded changelogs, I came across references to a number of very old historical versions that I have not yet been able to acquire.

The Missing List

If anyone happens to have these dusty installers hidden in an old backup, an OEM recovery partition, or a long-forgotten download folder, I would greatly appreciate access to them:

A Note on Archival Intent

I want to be completely transparent about the nature of this request:

These versions are extremely old. The primary goal here is strictly archival completeness for the project's database. I want to emphasize that it is very unlikely that any of these missing packages contain INF files that are newer than the ones I already have, or that they add support for hardware that isn't already covered by the installers I currently possess.

This is purely about closing historical gaps in the version registry, not about fixing a critical driver bug.

If you have any of the above installers (or even just the extracted .inf files from them), please consider sharing:

Even if the installer is corrupted but the INF files are intact, that is perfectly fine – my scanner can work with just the INF directory structure.

DATABASE INFs UPDATE

I managed to track down and integrate 18 additional installers into the database.

Even though it's just 18 new ones, the ripple effect is pretty substantial:

• +20% more INF files detected (from 5,538 to 6,645)
• +22.6% more total entries (from ~106K to over 130K)
• +25 unique HWIDs (from 3,000 to 3,025) – proves that adding archive installers is important

To keep it fair, I'm not adding these 18 installers to the competition list :)

During scanning, additional HWIDs appeared that existed only in one legacy Intel installer. After analysis, it turned out to be an NDA build not intended for public use. The scanner script has been updated to automatically detect and discard such exceptions, ensuring the database relies exclusively on official public releases.
