Improved Tales

Improved Tales is a mod for The Long Dark that aims to improve the tales by adding some quality of life improvements to the GUI and flow.

Currently it only affects Signal Void

• Four new spawn locations for the Handheld Shortwave. These act as new starting locations for the Tale. Configurable in Mod Settings menu and is permanent on a new save.
• New narrative collectibles to accompany the new starting locations
• GUI options for disabling the Journal tab and mission popups on screen

Note

If you previously used this mod and are updating to version 1.1.0, replace the old improvedsignalvoid.modcomponent with the new improvedtales.modcomponent in your mods folder.

Installation

• Install MelonLoader by downloading and running MelonLoader.Installer.exe
• Install the following dependencies in your mods folder:

• ModSettings
• ModData
• GearSpawner
• ModComponent (and it's dependencies)

• Install ImprovedTales.dll and improvedtales.modcomponent in your mods folder

Issues

If you encounter any issues with the mod please inform me! I tested thoroughly but cannot test everything. So please let me know if you find any issues.
