Documentation for *H1/*H2 Channel Orientations

We recently received a question from an end user regarding the documentation for the azimuths of the *H1 and *H2 components. Is there any official documentation available on this?

It is likely out of date in terms of the specific techniques we use, but it covers the conventions.
