GoodQ4All v2.5.8-rc5 Release Notes

GoodQ4All version v2.5.8-rc5 is a pre-release candidate built on the source-of-truth host GOOD-CUBE for clean-install verification.

Release Metadata

Pre-Release Candidate: v2.5.8-rc5
Supersedes: v2.5.8-rc4
Verification Target: Downstream clean-install verification on GOOD-SPEED-32 (laptop) is required before final v2.5.8 promotion.

Model Bootstrap Report: Corrected processed result dict mappings in scripts/bootstrap_models.py to correctly resolve repo_id from the Hugging Face download response, restoring required_assets reporting metrics. Added yolo_v8n key registration for YOLOv8n.
API status wsl_audio mismatch: Resolved contradiction between /api/status and /api/wsl2-status. The wsl_audio component now reports available only if the underlying audio processing is fully ready.
Dynamic WSL Distro Fallback: Implemented robust detection in _collect_wsl_status() that automatically scans registered WSL distros and dynamically switches to GoodQ_Audio_Distro if configured on default "Ubuntu".
Miniconda Path Hardcodings: Removed remaining developer-local path references in dev_on.bat and scripts/install/stage_dependencies.ps1, replacing them with dynamic home directory/env resolutions.

Deferred Downstream Checks: verify_offline_suite.ps1 and smoke_test_restore.ps1 are deferred to GOOD-SPEED-32 downstream verification.
Skipped Local Gates: Playwright UI audit and E2E staged ingestion.
Passed Local Gates: Full unit suite (814 passed), doc drift lint, banned token checks, dependency alignment.
