Highlights

• Unify command execution around client-owned sessions. Anonymous commands close their terminal on completion or retain the same shell when the wait expires; explicitly created sessions preserve shell state.
• Move terminal creation options into setup (cwd, env, optional session_id). Top-level session_id reuses an existing terminal and rejects unknown IDs. Each client process allows up to 10 live terminals, with no implicit terminal reuse.
• Simplify execution, session and client-management results, and make wait_ms default to 10 seconds.
• Fix Windows PowerShell Unicode input/output, internal command echo and CLIXML noise. Preserve PowerShell failures, native exit codes and $LASTEXITCODE across commands.
• Prevent host command reads from buffering program input, restoring early input for Read-Host, native stdin and EOF handling.

Upgrade notes

Update clients and servers together when moving from 0.6.x to 0.7.x, and refresh cached MCP tool schemas. execute_command replaces session_start; cwd and env now belong under setup, and terminal_name has been removed.

Validation

• GitHub Actions validates Windows client and MCP execution/session behavior, both GUI builds, and native P2P components for Linux, macOS and Windows on amd64 and arm64.
• On a real Windows 10 / Windows PowerShell 5.1 machine, the Windows-native Unicode/input/state regression and the previously failing MCP execution, wait-cancellation, Read-Host and native stdin/EOF cases all passed.

• Include installers and six-platform CLI resources in ordinary server builds; no release linker flag is required.
• Add server-side connection waits and agent guidance to report devices as they come online.

• Support per-command working directories, environment overrides and execution timeouts.

Compatibility

This release uses the 0.3 compatibility line. Update Server and clients together when upgrading from 0.2.x. Connection notifications require the agent conversation to remain active.

Highlights

• Rebuild CLI, GUI, and Server with Go 1.26.10.
• Add --client-ip-header to select a trusted header for authentication rate limits and issuing-IP quotas. The default uses the directly connected peer IP.
• Limit each token to six interactive session records, replacing the oldest finished record when capacity is needed.
• Reclaim unused tokens after the original invitation expires, and used tokens after the last device has been offline for 24 hours. Cleanup runs every minute and removes associated invitations, short codes, and session records.
• Add selective release builds with checksum-verified artifact reuse; this release rebuilds all programs.
• Update installer branding and attribution.

Deployment notes

• Behind a reverse proxy, set --client-ip-header X-Real-IP (or another trusted header), have the proxy overwrite that header, and restrict direct access to the backend. Header mode rejects missing, multiple, or invalid IP values.
• MCP-created tokens must first connect within the original 15-minute invitation lifetime, including redeemed invitations. Reconnecting resets the 24-hour offline deadline. Startup --generate tokens remain valid until the server restarts.
• This is a GitHub prerelease on the existing 0.2.x compatibility line.
