Agenterm v0.2.28 preview release.

Highlights

  • Rebuild CLI, GUI, and Server with Go 1.26.10.
  • Add --client-ip-header to select a trusted header for authentication rate limits and issuing-IP quotas. The default uses the directly connected peer IP.
  • Limit each token to six interactive session records, replacing the oldest finished record when capacity is needed.
  • Reclaim unused tokens after the original invitation expires, and used tokens after the last device has been offline for 24 hours. Cleanup runs every minute and removes associated invitations, short codes, and session records.
  • Add selective release builds with checksum-verified artifact reuse; this release rebuilds all programs.
  • Update installer branding and attribution.

Deployment notes

  • Behind a reverse proxy, set --client-ip-header X-Real-IP (or another trusted header), have the proxy overwrite that header, and restrict direct access to the backend. Header mode rejects missing, multiple, or invalid IP values.
  • MCP-created tokens must first connect within the original 15-minute invitation lifetime, including redeemed invitations. Reconnecting resets the 24-hour offline deadline. Startup --generate tokens remain valid until the server restarts.
  • This is a GitHub prerelease on the existing 0.2.x compatibility line.
