Extensions

Build small automations without writing any code — pick a trigger, optionally match it against conditions, and pair it with an action.

  • 25+ triggers: battery, volume, brightness, media playback, calendar, thermal state, audio device changes, Bluetooth battery, clipboard, downloads, AI usage, caffeine, sleep/wake, app launch/quit/frontmost, time of day, display changes, webcam, and AirPlay.
  • 17 actions: notifications (system or in-app), Caffeine on/off, audio output switching (including waking a dormant AirPlay device), sneak-peek HUD, volume/brightness, opening or quitting an app, clipboard writes, webcam control, media transport, running a Shortcut, switching AI usage provider, toggling HUD replacement, and switching notch tabs.
  • Optional revert actions — pair "turn on" with an automatic "turn off" the next time the trigger fires and no longer matches, without writing a second rule.
  • Three ways to build one: hand-type the rule JSON, copy a ready-made prompt into an external AI chatbot and paste the result back, or generate on-device where Apple Intelligence is available.
  • New Extensions settings tab: enable, disable, edit, or delete, with a live "Run Now" preview per rule.

What's New

DynamicNotch now introduces itself. After an update ships something worth knowing about, a short paged flow appears on next launch highlighting what's new, with a button to jump straight to the relevant Settings tab. First-time setup now ends with the same tour, so new users get introduced to major features too — including a new fan-control page for Macs with fans. Turn the post-update flow off anytime in About → Software Updates.
