Layouts
- Gatefold. Home opens like a double LP. The left page is the record that is playing, with the cover, the credits and a lyric sheet. The right page is the rest of Home.
- Index. Home reads like a magazine contents page. A cassette label across the top shows the song that is playing, with Like and More on the strip. Your shelves are a numbered list, and each number opens that whole shelf on its own page. Playlists sit in an appendix at the back.
- Crate. Flip through Home like a stack of records. The one in front shows its tracks as liner notes, Side A and Side B. Click a song to play from there, or an artist name to open their page. A turntable along the bottom spins the record that is actually playing.
- Panels. Rounded panels on black, the player in a bar along the bottom, and a soft wash of colour off the album cover.
- The dial. The knob next to the logo switches layouts. Click it, scroll over it, or use the arrow keys. Ctrl+L flips to the next one, and the cover turns over like a record. Porchlight remembers the last one you used. Pick one in Settings > Appearance, or the first time you open this update.
- Player colour. Index, Panels, Gatefold and Crate can give the player its own colour in the look editor. The text on it stays readable. If a shared look was made for one of these layouts, importing it asks before it switches.
- Floating player. Pop the player out into its own window from any layout.
- Sign in, in Ink. The button's label no longer disappears into the button.
- Playlists queued twice. Pressing Play on a playlist twice in a row no longer adds it to the queue twice.
Updating from 1.0.0: just let it update. Your library, settings, looks and downloads stay put.
