Hey i just wanted to ask what's the projects structure, i was away for like half a year and HyDE is a lot different compared to hyprdots now and if i wanna contribute i need to know how things now work. Obviously i'll look around but as of right now only testing i can do is in a virtual machines which produces problems i would never encounter since hyprland isn't made to run in a vm also my pc rn isn't good enough for an proper vm sadly. Just bites of pieces like the caching, toml config, ~/.config/lib/share... My main problem is i can't get 3d accell activated so i can't even start hyprland and to get it working via wsl2 is annoying too...

Basically anything in

.local/ are Controlled by HyDE therefore any updates will be seamless. Anything in the .config are for the users but with some exemptions (which are documented on the file itself)

Okay thx for the info was just overwhelmed came back and now we've like config editor/generator, boilerplates, templates... btw how is swayosd supported just wallbash always like dunst? And can we include theme files for swaync in the themes to make it easier and the repo more lightweight? Since swaync can be themed properly like, no rounded corners, blur, ... sorry if that's too offtopic.

This one is using gtk so should work ootb. (requires reboots sometimes)

I actually have an already working swaync theming(colors). But I can't make the config.jsonc or layout configuration seamless. We need to figure this out first, what Iam thinking is having multple layouts then just make a selector like how hyprlock.sh select works

I mean we could just have an own swaync file for each theme, except the newer ones ofcourse, i guess this would be the easiest since gloria-00 made them back then for hyprdots but i guess that's too complicated or not an good/perfect solution...? I mean i can't really say what's easier or better ofcourse...

You said you've already swaync what's the reason it's not in the project for now?

waybar first.

Providing a default swaync with theming is easy, The challenging part is the the json configuration, where including other files is not posible. So the best approach we can do is to follow the new waybar structure, all layouts will be in a directory, all styles and a wrapper script to generate some stuff that requires to be dynamic.

Do you want me(us translators) to add the labels in our languages too or do we just keep/use the english ones?

No i meant like bug, documentation, (feature) enhancement..., normally triage-role users can add labels, i can't, neither wanted to ask before adding github labels...
