FFXIV Super Launcher 1.0.0

The first stable release of FFXIV Super Launcher is now available.

FFXIV Super Launcher is a community launcher for FINAL FANTASY XIV on x86_64 Linux, using Proton to run the game. It supports the China, Traditional Chinese, and Global game clients in a single interface.

Features

  • Multiple game regions: manage client directories, account credentials, Dalamud, and plugin data separately for each game region.
  • Account login: supports QR-code and quick login for China, manual verification codes and local 2FA code generation for Traditional Chinese and Global, and Steam account authentication for Global.
  • Game updates: check and install patches for the selected game region, including updating without launching the game.
  • Dalamud and plugin management: optionally enable Dalamud, change plugin enablement states and check for updates without entering the game, and synchronize settings and plugins between selected game regions.
  • Steam integration: register as a Steam compatibility tool to launch through Steam; Global can also reuse an existing Steam edition pfx.
  • China cross-data-center travel: submit travel requests, view records, and return to the original data center.
  • Four interface languages: 简体中文, 繁體中文, 日本語, and English.
  • Launcher updates: automatically check for stable releases and download, verify, and install AppImage updates.

Download and getting started

Download xivlauncher-super-1.0.0-x86_64.AppImage below, make it executable, and run it. Follow the first-run wizard to complete setup.

You will need an installed Proton version and a complete client for the desired game region. The launcher can update an existing client; it does not download a complete client into an empty directory.

After moving or renaming the AppImage, run it directly once to refresh the Steam and application-menu entry records.

The other two assets, appimage-update.json and appimage-update.sig, are used by the automatic updater and do not need to be downloaded manually.

Documentation, source code, and feedback

This is an independently maintained community project, with no official affiliation with the game's publishers or the upstream projects referenced. Dalamud is disabled by default. Before using third-party launchers or plugins, review the game's terms of service and assess the associated risks.
