Getting Started

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure you have met the following requirements:

  • Python Make sure you have Python installed on your system. You can download and install Python from the official Python Website.

Installation

To install and run the program, follow these steps: Windows

  1. Open Command Prompt.

  2. Clone the repository:

    git clone https://github.com/InfiniteLoopify/linkedin-automated-message.git
  3. Navigate to the project directory:

    cd linkedin-automated-message
  4. Create a virtual environment and activate it:

    For Windows
    python -m venv venv    # create virtual environment
    venv\Scripts\activate  # activate virtual environment
    For Linux/MacOS
    python3 -m venv venv      # create virtual environment
    source venv/bin/activate  # activate virtual environment
  5. Install dependencies:

    pip install -r requirements.txt

Usage

To use the program, follow these steps:

  1. Create an environment variable file .env in project directory:
    touch .env
  2. Store your Credentials in your environment variable file:
    # inside .env file
    LINKEDIN_EMAIL=example@gmail.com
    LINKEDIN_PASSWORD=my-password
  3. Make sure you have activated the virtual environment.
  4. Run the program:
    python main.py
