MONO2K 1.7 for the M-VAVE FM-1: no more dropouts when the CPU is full.

No more cracks: when a pattern asks the FM-1 for more than it has, the sound no longer cracks or drops out. The quietest track for what it costs fades out in 3 ms and rests, then plays again from its next note once there is room. The track you are on is never kept resting. Anything that fits plays exactly as before, bit for bit.

CPU FULL names the tracks: "T2 FADED, T4 HEAVIEST": the one that rested, and the one to lighten. On GLO > PLAY a resting track's cell says REST.

The manual says what costs the FM-1 the most: VO-6, FX-CHORS, SWAV-ENS's stereo chorus, unison, MOD, a ringing delay (The FM-1's load).

Your patterns load as they played. Six tracks, as before.

  • File: mono2k-1.7.fwsc, identity FM-1_980, SHA-256 7e86ab05becba12c706da41ba48facb1e4581cba358aff48c4380cac541eabde (the same file as the installer's).
  • Install: from the FM-1 Firmware Hub or the installer page, over USB in Chrome or Edge. Coming from 1.x, your patterns stay.
  • Leave it: install any other firmware as usual; MONO2K starts its update loader (Felucca's). Holding OCT− while switching on always reaches the updater.
