WaveFlow 1.6.0 — and a note on the months ahead

WaveFlow 1.6.0 is out today — the biggest release yet, and the one I'm most proud of. (Full release notes →)

This one is all about radio & robustness:

• 📻 Web Radio grew up — live now-playing with artwork and lyrics, station favorites, browse by country, and a fully offline station catalogue (~35 000 stations, searchable with no connection).
• 🎚️ Audio robustness — sharper DSD→PCM, smoother playback over network shares, proper surround downmix, and clip protection.
• 🖼️ A rebuilt immersive view — cover and controls on one side, a tabbed Lyrics / Queue panel on the other, plus optional true native fullscreen.
• 👤 Offline artist overrides — write your own bios and pick your own "similar artists", fully offline, in full control.
• 📊 Smarter stats — a genre breakdown, plus the ability to hide any stat card you don't want to see.
• ⚡ ~4× faster first scan, and a long list of polish and fixes.

It's still 100% local-first. Nothing leaves your machine unless you explicitly choose to.

A quieter few months

I want to be transparent with you, because this project lives on trust.

Over the next ~4 months, I'll have very limited time for WaveFlow due to personal commitments away from the keyboard. In practice that means:

• Bug reports and feature requests are still very welcome, please keep opening issues. I read everything, and nothing gets lost.
• But fixes and new releases will be slow, or paused, for that period. If something breaks, I may not be able to ship a fix as quickly as I'd like. Thank you in advance for your patience.
• WaveFlow is not going anywhere. I'm not stepping away from the project, just slowing down for a while, and I'll pick up exactly where I left off.

Honestly, this felt like the right moment to step back: 1.6.0 leaves the app in the strongest, most complete state it's ever been in. It's a great version to live on for a while.

If you're a developer and want to help in the meantime, pull requests are very welcome, the codebase is open, and contributions are the best way to keep things moving while I'm away.

WaveFlow is one of the best local music player out there , and i know, i used, tested and help in many open sorce music players.
you should be proud in it.
