Overview

The System Readiness Manager (SRM) web application allows operations to remain abreast of the readiness state of the machine systems and their components.

Process

The readiness process runs continuously year round, but there are discrete stages in the lifecycle to capture the critical transition from Scheduled Accelerator Maintenance (SAM) to running. During this transition period the Hot Checkout (HCO) sub-process is followed. At the end of a run period, a forced re-check stage begins in which a carefully curated set of machine components are downgraded purposely as to prompt responsible groups to re-check.

Roles

  • Group Technician/Engineer: Verify readiness of assigned components and marks them as Checked.
  • Group Leader/Supervisor: Performs final readiness verification of assigned components and marks them as Ready.
  • Geographics Integrators: Area specific liaison responsible for collaborating with several Groups to ensure an area is ready
  • Management: Program Deputy, Operability, and Ops Dept. monitor and guide processes, including during daily meetings.
  • Operations: End-user of readiness tracking - make decisions on establishing beam in the machine based on readiness of beam destinations.
