ClipBubble 1.6.2
Link your iPhone from Windows and Linux. No Mac needed. Get the ClipBubble iPhone app from TestFlight, then open Settings → Sync over SSH → Link iPhone… on your PC and scan the QR code with the iPhone's Camera.
- On Linux without a desktop, run
clipbubble --pairto show the code in the terminal. - On Windows, the first link asks to turn on OpenSSH Server, which the iPhone connects to, and opens the firewall for it. Pairing uses port 47821.
- Items relayed through another computer now show the device they came from. Update every computer to 1.6.2 to see the names.
- Linux has its own download now:
ClipBubble-Linux.tar.gz. - Windows keeps catching screenshots after the Screenshots folder is renamed and made again.
ClipBubble 1.6.1
Signed and notarized by Apple. ClipBubble now opens like any other Mac app. You no longer need the right-click Open workaround or xattr.
- Updates from inside ClipBubble. Settings → General shows when a new version is out. It installs with one click and reopens, on Mac and Windows. On a Mac you can also run
ClipBubble --updatefrom Terminal. - Permissions stay put. From this version on, updates keep Accessibility (Auto-paste) turned on. Coming from 1.6.0 or earlier, macOS asks one last time. Remove the old ClipBubble entry under Privacy & Security → Accessibility, then turn Auto-paste back on.
- Windows checks that an update comes from the same publisher before installing it.
ClipBubble 1.6.0
Get ready for iPhone. The Mac can now link an iPhone from Settings with a QR code, and every platform handles a device that reconnects cleanly.
- Mac: Settings → Sync → Link iPhone… shows a code to scan. It adds a key that can only run ClipBubble's sync, so the phone gets nothing else on your Mac.
- Mac, Linux and Windows: a device that dials in again, like a phone waking from sleep, replaces its old link instead of leaving a dead duplicate.
- Mac: sync starts before the folder watchers, so a pending privacy prompt no longer holds up linking.
The iPhone app (with a share extension and a clipboard keyboard) is in the repo under iOS/ and ships separately once it is tested on a real phone.

ClipBubble 1.5.0
Sync your clipboard across machines over SSH. Mac, Linux and Windows link up through the SSH you already use: no account and no server. Copies, deletes and screenshots show up everywhere. Files up to 25 MB come across on their own; use Get or Send to for bigger ones, with progress and resume.
- Mac: link to other machines in Settings. It can also set up and update ClipBubble on your Linux hosts.
- Linux: a new GNOME port with the bubble, panel and settings. It keeps syncing at the login screen.
- Windows: sync, plus Deepu's 1.3.0 fixes: literal search, text size caps, folder watcher renames, removals moved into the database, and screen reader names.
- Mac idle CPU: down from about 5% to near zero.

ClipBubble 1.2.0
- Folders & permissions in Settings: live status for the screenshots folder, Downloads and Accessibility (auto-paste), each with a switch and a Fix button that opens the right page in System Settings.
- The screenshot folder follows your macOS setting (⌘⇧5 → Options → Save to) and notices when you change it, or you can pick your own.
- Auto-paste can be switched off (↩ then just copies).
ClipBubble 1.1.0
- Settings (⚙ in the panel): switch each kind on or off: copied text, images, files, screenshots, downloads, iPhone copies. Off means it isn't saved and is hidden everywhere, your agents included.
- Recent downloads land in history too, with their own filter.
- Copy setup prompt (Settings → AI agents): paste it into Claude Code, Codex or Cursor and it connects to ClipBubble's MCP server by itself.
- Mascot picker moved into Settings, plus a quick-peek fix.
Install: unzip, move to Applications, right-click → Open the first time.
ClipBubble 1.0.0

- A built-in MCP server for Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and Claude Desktop, which can also design mascots for you
Install: unzip, move ClipBubble.app to Applications, then right-click → Open on the first launch (the app isn't notarized), or run xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/ClipBubble.app. Requires macOS 14+.
