  • Folders & permissions in Settings: live status for the screenshots folder, Downloads and Accessibility (auto-paste), each with a switch and a Fix button that opens the right page in System Settings.
  • The screenshot folder follows your macOS setting (⌘⇧5 → Options → Save to) and notices when you change it, or you can pick your own.
  • Auto-paste can be switched off (↩ then just copies).
