Hows it going, I really like this product and feel like its somewhat in a great place to be an awesome open source product. However, at this time it seems that the self-hosted "docker" implementation of this is either misunderstood or just very incomplete. I'm not sure 1. Why there is a heavy emphasis on supabase and or stripe though id reckon you have your reasons. 2. Theres a dockerfile and docker compose file here but not "kanba" container image... 3. The postgres implementation is far from "containerized". Postgres, sqlite, maria, take your pick but I def feel like this could be a two container image or if anything a 1 image compose file with no external npm service config like it is now and using sqlite baked in.
From the reddit post where I found this product it seems you do want this open sourced and containerized but maybe are more focused on the paid side atm. Which is fine, but id like to offer some help with getting this properly containerized and documented well for users to truly self-host without the need of supabase or stripe. Id bargain that 99% of people coming to this repo to self host could care less when they see that and are instantly turned away due to not seeing a completed simple docker-compose.yaml or container image period. All in all, just wanting to help with this project if I can or at least let you share an update in the direction its going so people know. Thanks, good luck and hope to hear from you!
