How do I track an email that has been sent??

I want to track an email with gmail.js API. But I am confused about how to do that. Please try and understand as I am new to coding.

You can't track the email per sé, but once an email is sent, you can detect that through events and obtain information about it (api email ID, contents, even raw mime-data).

I just want to know that the email I have sent has been opened or not.

It seems Gmail does offer support for email read receipts: https://support.google.com/mail/answer/9413651?hl=en

This however is not yet supported by Gmail.js.
