It is common for many harmless files to throw up one or two false positives on vt. I am not saying it is ideal or something to be completely okay with, but on sites like virustotal, a single false positive is not something to be that worried about. I am unsure about what HybridAnalysis is or how it works. I can suggest that it is rather unusual for a program to be virulent in windows 10 and display no malicious behaviour in any other version. I use this application myself and haven't gotten any virus from it yet. What reasons does it have a 100 threat level for and can you view the parameters and see? Have you downloaded the file from lmms.io and are you certain that your internet and computer setup are otherwise uncompromised? If so, there should be no reason for the exe file to be malicious. |

Ahh okay, I need to be more careful and observant on this. I'm not quite sure about the inner workings of HybridAnalysis, but I wanted to know I can safely use it. This version is from LMMS.io, I recently just downloaded it few hours prior this commenting on the thread (I wanted to try it for personal use); perhaps you still can analyze it too, with the right tools. Here is the latest one. I downloaded it from another device, shared and uploaded again with the same device (fairly recently). |

Hi, anyone is using Avast on a computer running LMMS?
Everytime I install new nightly it thinks it's malware and blocked the program or remove the LMMS executable on first startup.
Now I just open LMMS and ladspabbrowser.dll is detected as a trojan WIN64Evo-gen
Before it was freeboy.dll
Are other virus scanners doing the same?
Thanks,
Sander
