Mission
I originally started this project/repo as a way to help myself and other people with ADHD create a digital assistant that:
manages and curates knowledge
creates reminders,
assists in decision making and coaching
surfaces insights and makes suggestions
provides a repository for data, thoughts, information, and projects.
Market Differentiators:
user-sovreignty for data storage, memory storage/maintenance/refinement logic, search and usage. no external pressue.
user-configurable modular components so the user can pick and choose their solution and try others
AI skill logic for building their personal assistant(s), no software lock-in.
What are your thoughts? on mission?
Scope
The original scope was to make a skill that allows users to create their digital assistant from existing open-source/commercial components that fit their needs and budget. No vendor lock-in. Modular design that's upgradable and extensible. Privacy controls and guard rails optional.
I don't want to specifically package software but instead present an AI Agent/Platform skill that will walk the user through the installation and setup of their personal digital assistant.
I'm proposing this project to be free and open source so that everyone can benefit without payment if they're willing to DIY the implementation. Commercial options available if you want. Thoughts?
Audience
My proposed audience right now is for those that are relatively comfortable with github, AI providers and minimally skilled in command line and security. The audience was also proposed originally to be "users with ADHD wanting a personal assistant." As a later goal, I'd like to expand to everyone. What say you?
Project Name
The original project name is ADHD-OS, as I started with a smaller scope and audience geared towards users with ADHD, but upon discussion with other potential users, the benefit can be applied to a larger audience and be more than an ADHD coping mechanism. What are your suggestions?
