@rohitgr7: Does this remain resolved in the most recent release? I get a similarly looking error as #14446. In particular I get "not on the same device" error at testing when using a checkpoint generated with a ModelCheckpoint callback, while I can run my code without errors when saving my checkpoint manually with trainer.save_checkpoint. This happens with deepspeed_stage_3.
