Important
This is very Important for Debian and Ubuntu Dots
Previously, debian and ubuntu had an older version of Hyprland. That is no longer true.
-
Hyprland-Dotsare now compatible on Debian and Ubuntu. - Debian 13 (trixie), Testing (Forky), and Unstable (sid) are fully supported.
- NOTE: For debian, Hyprland is compiled from source.
- This means a longer install process
- Also it's possible in the future a newer version of Hyprland might not compile. Especially on Trixie
- Ubuntu 24.04, 25.10 are currently supported.
- Ubuntu is using a PPA to install the current version of Hyprland.
- Ubuntu 26.04 when released will also be supported.
- At that time support for ubuntu 25.10 will be dropped.
- Going forward only the LTS versions of ubuntu will be tested.
- The interim releases may work but aren't supported
