Download for linux is not working. Says unable to locate the package.

For which Linux distribution?

Which version of Ubuntu? I've had no problems with 16.04, 16.10 and 17.04.

I'm using ubuntu 14.04 and getting same issue.

@chenditc, no package exists in 14.04. See here. You're using an older OS.

Error exists in 18.04 live server amd 64 ubuntu version. Any suggestions?

I can't comment too much but these are the packages available in 18.04 Desktop as displayed in Synaptic Package Manager. You may need to add universe repo?

udpate: I am able to install 2.10.2 on Linux subsystem on Windows 10: Ubuntu 18.04 LTS. But getting the package not found error on VM Virtual box's ubuntu-18.04.1-live-server-amd64 installation. Is there a way I can reset the list or something?

Fixed it by running:
sudo add-apt-repository universe
sudo add-apt-repository restricted
sudo add-apt-repository multiverse
