Which socketio library is it? This might actually be #982 depending on how that function is defined.

I'm assuming those squiggles come from something other than the language server, correct?

It is flask-socketio. The green squiggles below socketio and gworld are from spell checker. The one below 'update', was actually from language server, complaining about json_msg. It moved to this location, after i made some changes:
