The sort order of Group-Object differs between version 5.1 and 7.x. But this documentation is identical for both versions.

_-Property

Specifies the properties for grouping. The objects are arranged into named groups based on the value of the specified properties. When no property is specified, objects are grouped by their value or the ToString() representation of their value.
The output is sorted in ascending order by the group names._

In this example the first element is the 'primary' module, the second a dependency, the use of group-object modifies this order.
