SmartShading Feedback & Real-World Experience

Hello everyone,

SmartShading has now reached a stable release, and I would love to hear about your real-world experience.

If you are using SmartShading, feel free to share:

• Your shading setup
• Number of zones and windows
• Cover types, such as roller shutters, Venetian blinds, exterior screens or awnings
• Cover integrations or hardware
• Weather and solar radiation sensors
• Presence detection setup
• Window orientation and floor levels
• Manual solar-sector or obstruction-zone configuration
• Whether Observation Mode and Active Control are enabled
• Things that work particularly well
• Things that could be improved
• Bugs or unexpected behaviour

Reporting Bugs

If you have found a reproducible bug, please open a GitHub Issue instead of posting it only here.

Discussions are ideal for feedback, ideas, questions and sharing experiences, while Issues help track and resolve specific bugs.

When reporting unexpected cover behaviour, please mention whether:

• The recommendation was correct
• The physical cover followed the recommendation
• Active Control was enabled
• A manual override was active
