UwUSSH 0.1.3 ✧ Sicherheitsupdate und ein neues Gesicht in der Taskleiste

• Sicherer: Löschen und Rechte ändern als root folgen keinem Link mehr, den jemand in einem übergeordneten Ordner untergeschoben hat. Rechte einer Datei ändert UwUSSH als root nur noch in Ordnern, die root gehören und die sonst niemand beschreiben darf
• Sicherer: Ein Sync-Server, der eine Synchronisation nie zu Ende kommen lässt, kann damit keine alten Host-Schlüssel anderer Geräte mehr unterschieben
• Ein kurzer Aussetzer des Schlüsselbunds löscht die Kopplung und den gemerkten Tresor nicht mehr
• Linux: Das Update entpackt sich in einen eigenen, privaten Ordner statt ins gemeinsame /tmp
• Neues Icon in der Taskleiste: Nyu steht jetzt gerade und ohne dunkle Kachel da, mit großem >_, und ist auch klein als Terminal erkennbar
• Neues App-Icon im Stil von UwUMail
• UwUKeygen hat ein neues Icon: ein goldener Schlüssel mit Nyus Kopf, auch in der Taskleiste gut zu erkennen

UwUSSH 0.1.3 ✧ a security update and a new face on the taskbar

• Safer: deleting and changing permissions as root no longer follow a link someone slipped into a parent folder. As root, UwUSSH changes a file's permissions only in folders that root owns and nobody else may write to
• Safer: a sync server that never lets a sync finish can no longer slip in old host keys of other devices that way
• A short hiccup of the keychain no longer deletes the pairing and the remembered vault
• Linux: the update unpacks into a private folder of its own instead of the shared /tmp
• New taskbar icon: Nyu now stands upright without the dark tile, with a big >_, and reads as a terminal even when small
• New app icon in UwUMail's style
• UwUKeygen has a new icon: a golden key with Nyu's head, easy to spot on the taskbar too
• New: Linux packages (.deb and .rpm) for x64 and ARM, plus a portable version to unpack
• Mac: one setup for Apple chips and Intel

Windows: warnt es („Der Computer wurde durch Windows geschützt“), Weitere Informationen → Trotzdem ausführen.

macOS: die .dmg öffnen und UwUSSH Setup starten. UwUSSH ist nicht bei Apple notarisiert (keine Developer ID): sagt macOS, es könne das Programm nicht prüfen, unter Systemeinstellungen → Datenschutz & Sicherheit → Trotzdem öffnen freigeben.

Linux: .deb und .rpm installieren systemweit und aktualisieren sich selbst (fragt nach dem Administrator-Passwort); die portable Version einfach entpacken und ./UwUSSH/uwussh starten, sie aktualisiert sich nicht.

Windows: if it warns that it "protected your PC", More info → Run anyway.

macOS: open the .dmg and start UwUSSH Setup. UwUSSH isn't notarized by Apple (no developer ID): if macOS says it can't check the app, allow it under System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway.

Linux: the .deb and .rpm install system-wide and update themselves (asking for the administrator password); the portable one you just unpack and start with ./UwUSSH/uwussh, and it doesn't update itself.
