Additional query parameter to the /v1/gtfs_feeds

This API method has a lot of optional query parameters which is great. Can we include another parameter 'status' that will enable a consumer to query for active feeds only.
Also would like to understand the rationale behind the structure that provides audit or historical data that includes status = deprecated. What purpose does it serve the consumer of the API to know historical information if the data provided is no longer relevant. Example most of the URLs in the data set are no longer available.
