First release of CyTools_AudioLibrary: a desktop Tool to manage, analyse and search large local sound libraries, with a Dear ImGui interface, a command line and an MCP server, on CyToolsCore 0.9.0.

Install

  1. Download CyTools_AudioLibrary-0.1.0-windows-x64.zip and unzip it where the application should live: it creates its private environment in that folder.
  2. From that folder, once: powershell -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -File app\Install.ps1 (Python 3.11 or newer and git are needed).
  3. Start CyTools_AudioLibrary.exe, then install the AI engine and the models from the Installation tab.

The user guide, in French, is LISEZ-MOI.md; README.md covers the command line, MCP and tests.

In this version

  • Virtual libraries over several folders, a relocatable cache, stable identifiers, incremental rescan and background synchronisation. Audio files are never moved or modified, except by the two File Tools operations, which ask for confirmation.
  • Waveforms, an integrated player, a folder tree, multi-selection and batch editing of tags, categories, rating and notes.
  • Search in natural language, in any language: M2D-CLAP 2025, LAION-CLAP and Omni-Embed-Audio search at once and their rankings are fused; an optional local LLM, including a fine-tuned caption model, rewrites messy requests first.
  • File Tools: rename badly named files and write tags into them, with preview, confirmation and undo.
  • Model installation with sizes, sources and licences, and staged application updates from this repository with rollback.

Requirements and limits

  • Executed on Windows 10 x64 with an NVIDIA card only. The Linux launcher exists and has never been run.
  • Install.ps1 uses the Python installed on the machine to create the private environment: this is not a Python-free installer.
  • Model weights are not included. Some come under non-commercial licences that each user accepts personally in the Installation tab.
  • The launcher is not code-signed. It carries version information naming Cyberalien, and its source is app/launcher.cpp.
