Installing this on Windows was a piece of cake... BUt my most powerful machine is a desktop unit I have running Ubuntu 26.04 with 128 gig of RAM and a Nvidia RTX 2070 GPU.

The install instructions for LFS are not detailed... When I ran those instructions, it was another 2 hours of getting all of the libraries installed and fixing multiple errors.

I used Claude Code to help with the process and I had it create an install document for LFS with all of the steps laid out. So attached here is an MD file with all of the gory details. Hopefully this will help others installing it on Linux!

Ha ha I just did the same for ubuntu 24.04! I wish I had seen this first.

My older graphics card needed CUDA 12.8.

After building I launched to segfault but claude code was able to track down the issue on my setup and patch it.
