Multron Download Manager v0.0.9

Instagram stories download again.

Fixes

  • Instagram stories. In v0.0.8 the browser extension's download button on Instagram stories and highlights passed the story page on to the video downloader, which cannot read stories and asked you to log in even when you were signed in. The button now downloads the story itself while you are signed in to Instagram in your browser, under a readable name such as user_story_123.mp4. Instagram plays most stories as separate picture and sound streams; Multron Download Manager picks the best picture of the story you are watching, downloads it together with its sound and joins them into one MP4 with FFmpeg, without re-encoding.

Updating

Earlier versions update themselves to this version the next time they start. The fix is in both the app and the browser extension. The extension reloads itself within a minute of the app update; refresh Instagram tabs that were already open.

For the macOS update fix and VirusTotal links see the v0.0.8 release.
