Speed is zero (0) when tethering HA Tunnel VPN on Redmi 8

Hello! I hope you are doing well.

I am using your "VPN Hotspot" application on a rooted Redmi 8 device (with Magisk). I am facing a routing/speed issue and would really appreciate your help.

My Setup & Problem:

1. The Scenario: My mobile SIM card has 0 balance (no data plan). I use the HA Tunnel Plus app to get free internet via a VPN tunnel on my phone.
2. The Carrier Block: When I turn on the stock Android Wi-Fi Hotspot to share this internet, the connected secondary devices get redirected to the carrier's captive portal page asking to buy a data plan. This means the carrier successfully detects and blocks the tethered traffic.
3. The VPN Hotspot App Behavior: To bypass this, I installed your app and enabled the Wi-Fi hotspot downstream interface (wlan0 / swlan0) with root permissions.
4. The Main Issue: Once enabled, the secondary devices connect successfully and the carrier's block page disappears (which is great!), BUT the internet speed drops to absolute zero (0 Kbps). It cannot even load a YouTube video at 144p. The connection is completely dead on the receiving end, even though the main phone has working internet through HA Tunnel.

Could you please explain why the speed becomes zero when routing an SSH/tunneled VPN like HA Tunnel on a Redmi device? Is there a specific iptables command, routing rule, or Magisk module I need to apply to fix this?

Cannot reproduce. Please install the latest alpha version. If it still reproduces, export debug information.
