Hi,
you should use the translation engine in the game.

First, set your user as Translator, that is a setting in the user management.
Then, find the translation section in the grotto and get started.
It's highly advised to use the module "Translation Wizard" to make it much easier for you.

Hi, I managed to install and run version 1.3.1 but password recovery is not working for me.
I can't deal with it....
A message appears to me:
"An error has been encountered, please report this: Message body empty

Hmm. an empty message body means the template is maybe not pulled.
No recipient is a different matter, though.
You have the file content of "lib/data/settings_extended.php", right? There are variables set?

I will also add that the installation ran on php 7.4
But then I had to switch to 8.4 because it was throwing an error. On 8.4 istalator did not start
On 8.0 doesn't work either

If the Composer says, you're using php 7.4.4, it usually is right.

You're running the php through the fpm, that should be OK, but then I don't understand why you get the composer message.

If you have php < 8 running, it could explain why the email isn't working - the email module is sendmail, used through the composer.

7.4 may be running in issues, as said.
I optimized most code for 8, and some were breaking changes, so you can't really go back.

You can check your webserver's debug log for error messages, and tell me that, maybe something is awry there.

You did before fix the "warning" (it's not an error) display with setting the defaultsuperuser in the $useful_vals ... but this now doesn't work?

Tried putting an email into the notify on error, but it seems it loops and doesn't save the settings =/

Though it technically should not even be called there... in lib/errorhandler.php the check is ... old and may not be working as intended anymore.

Still - the SendMail can't connect to it.

That's the issue with the mail I think. The "postmaster@local" should work fine, as that error is not displayed anymore.

You may not like it, but it is normal ;)

getsetting() will get the current setting, and the "postmaster@localhost" should never be used. You need to configure email SMTP or at least replace the mail address there.

I pushed a minor bugfix (among a few small ones) up the main branch, you should best put this in your configuration php around line 290:

No worries, pleasure to help - though still I don't get why the switch back was necessary. Shouldn't be...
I'll fiddle around a bit and see.

Some checks in there (and better error messages in parts) are never a bad things, so thanks for pointing things out =)

If you need any modules, let me know, I have some up, but most I give out with some advice, because they are mostly tailored to either +nb (because of new hooks) or because they are ... not newbie friendly in terms of handling sometimes. 🗡️

Doesn't narrow it down then... I haven't documented many, which means you have to read and see for most.
Naming is the usual, means module.php and module_subfolder/morefiles*.php etc.

Bugs on core please here - rest if you like via email (it's on your server).

I didn't think we'd see each other so soon.
I've been getting email reports/information about unclear behaviour within the game script since this morning.
I'm not sure if this is some sort of attack or reports (strange email titles) and actions.

No Dragon I have only one, but in the title of emails appear domains I own and are directed to the same server.
Spam is sent from me to me

jelcz.cz is my domain name, which I do not use.
affe.pl also mine

subdomain "podspodem" does not exist (it was in use in 2005 on a completely different server).

You use apache, so it should be in the /var/log/apache/errors.log or so (I use nginx for a while now, not 100% sure).

this is interesting, as I wrote earlier - there are no errors in the logs

If you want to hardcore disable the server, disable sendmail service (which one you use) for now, and it should stop too. (which should already when disabling errorhandler.php like before)

this I can't do, because I have several other sites running, and it will cause other services to collapse

ok, since your last fix (return;) those damn emails have stopped coming. the last one was at 9:54 pm.
In this panic, I did not check, but I discovered another error (as if there were not enough problems).
Namely, during the installation, it does not create the table “nastywords” but just wants to update it and put values into it, without creating the table itself.

and earlier you wrote that there are no “bad words” in the base

The table is created on setup ... it seems the "switch to php 7 to make it go through" made at least some synctable() statements not work.

You cited the filling, that is correct.
Lotgd will create all tables from the all_tables.php in the lib directory.

I would imagine there is a default value missing for the text field. And that SQl error message is something you maybe avoided in php, but the table wasn't created.
