In-game overlay
- The overlay has a plainer look: flat panels, ordinary wording, and notifications drawn like the ones in Dossier.
- Set its size from 70 to 130% and switch panels on or off in Settings, or use Ctrl+Shift+O, H, = and - in the game.
- Song select shows a leaderboard for your chat.
- The Witness tile greets you once for five seconds, then shows only the Dossier mark. When a play is kept, the mark turns into a tick for three seconds.
- Failed plays are no longer saved unless you turn that on.
- A kept play can be sent to your chat by holding Tab.
Rendered videos
- The hit error meter looks like the one in osu!stable.
- With Hidden, the follow circle stays until the slider ends, and slider ticks fade out when passed, as in the game.
- Videos made through the bot can show the map's global leaderboard or the chat's, with avatars. The chat's top falls back to the global one when nobody in the chat has played the map.
- Bot renders play the map's video or storyboard when it has one, at a lower volume, and report a plain state: preparing, rendering or sending.
- Videos can be encoded on the graphics card, with a switch in Settings.
Community and duels
- Animated avatars move, and each profile has the player's blurred osu! cover behind it.
- The duels page is one panel with short how-it-works tiles and calibration progress. The sidebar stays hidden for a whole match, even after a restart.
Balance desk
- Reviews show a map's tournament tags and explain the slot grade on hover. Supporters can open a map in osu!.
- FM1 to FM3 are named after the slots they match, and FM4 is gone.
Interface
- Every hover tip now looks and behaves the same.
- Close buttons sit on a quiet square backing in the corner of their panel.
- Panels and screens now appear in place instead of rising into view.
Linux
- Witness starts inside osu-winello's container, so it reaches the game, hears the overlay's frames and stops with Dossier.
Leaderboards, video and storyboard in bot renders need the matching server update, and a machine lent to the render farm needs this version to draw them.
