VesperTV 1.0.42 (beta)

⚠️ After updating: refresh once

Catch-up needs fresh data the first time. Open Update Content (left menu) and update your playlists, then go to Settings > Playlists & guide > EPG and press Update EPG Now. Do this once; after that it stays up to date on its own.

New: Catch-up TV (Android TV, Fire TV, phones)

Watch shows that already aired on channels where your provider offers catch-up (Xtream tv_archive, and M3U catchup / catchup-days / tvg-rec playlists).

  • Timeline guide: press Left past the last hour to go back in time. Shows you can replay have a gold ↺ mark. Hours older than your provider's guide appear as Catch-up HH:MM blocks.
  • OK on a past show plays it in the preview; OK again goes full screen.
  • Back to now: Back in the guide returns to the current time (a second Back goes to the groups). The gold Now button does the same with touch or a mouse.
  • Player: a CATCH-UP tag, previous / next show, Watch from the start, a seek bar, and how far behind live you are. The gold LIVE button (or ⏩ on remotes that have it) jumps back to live.
  • Keeps playing: when a past show ends, the next one starts on its own until you reach live.
  • Pause = timeshift: pause a catch-up channel for more than 90 seconds and Play resumes from where you paused.
  • Watch from the start: hold OK on a show in the guide, or use the button in the player (⏪ on remotes that have it), to restart the show on now from its beginning.
  • Only channels your provider marks for catch-up get these options; other channels behave as before. Windows support is coming later.

Also new

  • Refined finish (Settings > Interface > Theme): optional glass look with reflections and soft depth; the TV columns stay see-through over live video.
  • Aqua colour theme.
  • Sports Trak: set a reminder on any upcoming game card, not only your teams'.

Fixes and improvements

  • Audio and subtitle choices now refresh for each live channel, with readable track names (language, codec, channel layout).
  • Data pool reports the decoder's HDR mode when the stream doesn't say.
  • Fixed a rare case where two quick channel changes could leave a hidden stream open and use one of your provider's connections.

Install

Android TV, Fire Stick and phones: install the APK over your existing app, use Downloader code 1760256, or Settings > Check for Updates.
Windows: download the ZIP, extract the whole folder, and run VesperTV.exe.

Beta: please use Settings > Send log after a problem.
