This is the discussion space for the OWASP Autonomous Penetration Testing Standard (APTS). It exists for conversation that does not yet belong in the issue tracker: interpretation questions, proposals being shaped, and public comment periods.
How the categories are used:
Q&A - Questions about interpreting requirements. For example, what counts as a material model change under APTS-TP-022, or how the kill switch phases in APTS-SC-009 apply to a given architecture. Accepted answers build a public interpretation record for the standard.
Ideas - Candidate requirements and improvements for future versions. The normative requirement set is frozen per release (see CONTRIBUTING.md), so new requirements land in the next version cycle. Float the idea here first; formal proposals then follow the process in CONTRIBUTING.md.
Announcements - Releases, substantive changes to the standard, and open comment periods.
Polls - Open project decisions where community input is wanted.
General - Everything else.
Defects in the published text (broken references, factual errors, contradictions) should go straight to Issues. Participation here follows the project Code of Conduct.
If you are evaluating or implementing APTS, feel free to introduce the context you are coming from. It helps us understand who the standard is serving.
