Adds an optional 6DoF VR mode (OpenXR): third-person VR with a camera rig that follows Parin.
- Turn it on with VR (OpenXR) in the launcher's Display / Camera / VR group, or start the game with
-vrfor one launch. VR is off by default. - Life size or Diorama (tabletop) scale. Right stick orbits and raises the rig, left stick moves Parin relative to where you look, click both sticks to recenter. Gamepads and VR controllers (Touch, Index, Vive, WMR, simple) both work.
- Single-pass stereo with culling and map scenery following the headset. The HUD floats on a soft head-following panel; title, menus and loading appear on a virtual screen. Fades cover the whole view.
- Works with SteamVR or Monado/WiVRn, on Windows and on Linux through Proton. Under Proton the eye images go to the runtime without a CPU copy.
- Desktop: water reflections now follow the interpolated camera instead of stepping at 30 Hz at high frame rates.
One ZIP for Windows and Linux. Extract and copy the release folder contents into the game folder, including the new GuruminVR folder. Optional installers provide automatic Steam detection; launch the game through Steam.
Linux: set WINEDLLOVERRIDES="d3d9=n,b" %command%. With the separate PSP outfits mod, use WINEDLLOVERRIDES="d3d9=n,b;dinput8=n,b" %command%. If the game cannot find Monado/WiVRn, add PRESSURE_VESSEL_IMPORT_OPENXR_1_RUNTIMES=1 before %command%.
Existing preferences are preserved. Advanced VR options are listed in GuruminModern.ini.
