I'm in the same boat. Manually copying and pasting terminal responses back to Cline for it to work is unsustainable. If OpenACP could bridge Aider to MCP that would save hours a week. |

Aider has been adding tool call support in recent versions (check 0.68+). If it gets full tool call support, MCP adapters become possible without OpenACP being the bridge. Worth tracking that GitHub thread alongside this one. |

The Aider CLI does not natively support the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Would OpenACP be the right layer to add MCP capabilities to Aider, or is that too far outside scope? Basically I want Aider to be able to call MCP tools without me manually relaying outputs.
