Yes, it’s not just you who finds it problematic, I think Robert raised also a concern that reverts become hard because of unrelated changes merged in; I do think we need to change how we do this.
FWIW I had a branch somewhere where the agent was trying to enable this on weekly, and make it create a PR, instead of automatic, not sure where it is… 😂
