Other Practical Questions to Ask About a Project as presented in the paper:
My notes:
Benefits of Open Source
Archetypes
B2B Open Source (Android, Chromium)
Multi-Vendor Infrastructure (Kubernetes, OpenStack)
Rocket Ship to Mars (Meteor, Signal)
Controlled Ecosystem (WordPress, Drupal)
Wide Open (Rust, Apache HTTPD)
Mass Market (Firefox, LibreOffice, MediaWiki)
Specialty Library (libssl, libmp4)
Trusted Vendor (MongoDB, Hypothes.is, Coral)
Upstream Dependency
Bathwater
