This repository seems to be the best contestant for picking up the shards after MinIO's rug-pull. Yet it seems like after the initial fork there has not been any activity here?

If this repository will not get maintained, it should be set to "archived" maybe?

Everybody had great hope after seeing this fork. It was even mentioned on selfh.st news. No information about the status of this in the Readme or similar information. I think something will happen, but maybe people will focus on RustFS or Garage instead.

Maybe it is too much work to rework only the console. Wasn't the complete API removed for the console functions? Then it would be a lot more work. A full fork would be needed, with a lot more effort

This dude literally had done NOTHING apart from forking and rebranding it.

You should give love to some less starred forks from people who actually maintain the code.

Both are fine. This one is "for personal use" meaning the maintainer could add features that THEY find useful and which you might not need or want. The one I use is more of a "here's a fork, if you make a PR I'll review it and merge it, if there's an issue I might try to fix it" sort of thing. Both are valid choices.

But if you check commit history of maxio, there's 2 merged commits, one change of readme and that's it. And endless promises of "I'll start working on it" and "I'll try having it done at the end of the month" and overall jist excuses but no actual work being done.
