Recording missed due to capture device failure

Greetings. I recently cut the cord from comcast (Ceton capture card). I’m no running a new HDHomerun HDFX-4US and am getting numerous “recording missed due to capture device failure”. They are usually on channels that have recorded successfully. I did see similar behavior before with the Ceton card but thought that card was getting flaky. Now I’m not so sure.

I enclose my logs and hope someone can give me some guidance on how to troubleshoot and correct the issue.

Does the tunning work fine when choosing to watch a show through the EPG?

Have you run a channel scan on the SD device, yet?

You can do this through the SD HDHR software or by just going to the devices web interface and choose Channel Lineup.
You can also upgrade to the latest firmware, if you wish.

From what I read above, I am presuming you're running the HDHR device through OpenDCT (that's fine, I used to do it this way. Before giving the tuner to ChanelsDVR (and still pull it through OpenDCT)).

Have you tried connecting Sage directly to the device, not using OpenDCT?

Well, I think the issue was user error. I wasn't using a reserved IP for the HDR and the address had changed, AND I had an invalid channel in my lineup. Once those were corrected behavior has been fine.
