How do the release cycles work in PHPMailer?

Since I've not seen any branching, I'm assuming that everything that gets into master will be one day versioned and released.

What is generally the criteria to select a new minor and major version?

I usually do releases after anything urgent or a flurry of activity, not necessarily for every PR though.

I don't generally bother with branches as PRs tend to act as them.

Version numbers are usual semver, BC breaks get a major, features get a minor, tweaks and fixes get a patch.

There's no concrete plan or schedule because 99% of the time it's just me doing things directly.
