Hotkey not working on Chrome (MacOS)

A user reports that the Control + Space hotkey doesn't work on Chrome/MacOS, but does work on Edge/MacOS.

May be a user-specific issue due to a conflict with his installed Chrome extensions.

I replied to the user in Discord as follows.

I've done some investigation on the hotkey problem with MacOS/Chrome, but I was unable to reproduce the issue on my end .

Given that the hotkey is working as expected for you in Edge, it does seem like this might be a Chrome-specific issue on your system. One possibility is that another Chrome extension or a specific Chrome setting is intercepting the Control + Space hotkey. ⌨️

Please check if any of your installed extensions have hotkeys set that might conflict with "Say, Pi". You can do this by navigating to chrome://extensions/shortcuts in your Chrome address bar.

Also, you could try using "Say, Pi" in an incognito window in Chrome. Most extensions are disabled in incognito mode by default, which can help identify if an extension is causing the problem. 🥸
