This is a fork of SaintSoftware's FastNote project, with my preferred changes to it. This has also been migrated from .NET Framework v4.7.2 to .NET 8.0.

An extremely lightweight, self-contained Notepad alternative for Windows.

The goal is simple: to have a small and fast program with no frills.

• Custom icon that shows in the window and About dialog (fancy!)
• Simple, familiar interface, similar to old Windows Notepad
• Designed for quick notes without clutter
• In my very scientific testing (trust me!), the utility uses 7 times less ram than modern notepad on average
