v0.7.0
Future Cop: L.A.P.D. (1998) as a native program: the game's own FCopLAPD.exe is recompiled to native code when it starts, and everything it needs from Windows and DirectX is rebuilt in Rust on OpenGL. No game files are included: you need your own copy of the PC version.
New in 0.7.0
The German version. Besides the US version, the German PC version of Future Cop: L.A.P.D. now runs, with everything this port adds: high resolution, widescreen, higher frame rates, gamepads and the rest. fcop recognises which version you have by itself.
More CD images. Some CD images contain no ISO 9660 file system, only UDF (one of the German CD among them). fcop can now read those too.
Fixed
Geometry hanging in the air. At frame rates above the original 37.5 fps, parts of objects could stay in the air, for example a respawned tower in Precinct Assault showing only its head without its base. The extra pictures drawn between the game's frames briefly move every object to where it was a moment earlier and put everything back afterwards. An object destroyed in between had its old position written into memory the game had already given to something new. Now only objects that exist at that moment are moved. The original 37.5 fps was never affected.

Getting started
- Unpack the archive.
- Put an image of your CD (
.isoor.bin) next tofcop.exe/fcop, or copy your game into thegame_filesfolder. That can be the CD's contents, an image of the CD, or your installed game folder. - Start
fcop.exeon Windows, or./fcopfrom its folder on Linux. It finds the game, checks that it is a supported version (US or German) and keeps only what the game needs.
When you update from an earlier version, keep your game_files folder: your settings, key bindings and saves are in it.
