Getting started
Not finished yet. easyQ Q&A is in early development and not ready for live sites. Try it on a test site only.
- WordPress 6.7 or later
- PHP 8.2 or later
- A block theme such as Twenty Twenty-Five is recommended; classic themes work too
easyQ Q&A is not in the WordPress plugin directory yet. Build the plugin archive from the
source (see the README,
npm run plugin-zip), then:
- Go to Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin and upload
easyq.zip. - Activate easyQ Q&A. On multisite you can activate it for a single site or the whole network.
The Q&A area lives below /questions/ on your site:

Without pretty permalinks (Settings → Permalinks → Plain) the pages work as well, with the page in the query string.
These pages are not WordPress pages: each one is a page template of easyQ. You will not find them under Pages, and they cannot be deleted by accident. To change their layout, see Customizing the Q&A pages.
- Adding the Q&A pages to your menu
- Ask the first question yourself, so visitors see how it works
Categories and all settings come with the admin screen in the next phase; until then easyQ works without categories and with the defaults of Question2Answer.
