[2026-11-01] What to do if Epoch's IANA database is behind the latest?
Concrete example: Cuba has very recently decided to continue DST today, resulting in a new release of the IANA database 2026f. Apparently, this is not a permanent thing, and for Nov 2027, it is planned to go back to standard time.
Epoch's current version 1.6.0 has timezone 0.11.2 with IANA db 2026e and will therefore incorrectly make the switch from CDT (UTC-04:00) to CST (UTC-05:00).
Several possible workarounds:
Find a different time zone that shows the now correct time for Cuba and set a custom label. (Not recommended.)
Add America/Havana on your preferred tab and pin it to DST, at least until Epoch comes with a newer timezone package. (Recommended.)
