Has been quiet on your front with the simulator. I did notice the log did not seem to want to stay on details long as usual. I have the setting at 1200. I have been following all the BIOS and related settings for my system in some detail with the crew on the MSFS Forum and learning a lot. Seems my 7950X and 5080 are pretty close to the state of the art in 2026... at least not worth an update. The rate limiting step is the CPS but since you are really only running on one thread my 7950, it is as fast in the thread as newer CPUs. My memory is a bit slower with tweaking at 5200 but you should see what new memory costs now! But still there is not much in terms of detail in MSFS2024 that I actually can add in that makes a perceptible difference. If you look at the TLODs I am getting with your program's help they are very good and the detail in the images is also really quite good. PS here is a VR log. For some reason again not able to turn on detailed logging. This also looks very good. Here the GPU was pegged... but it seemed to adjust internally alright. I had the occasion to talk to ASUS because I thought I had a hardware issue but was a loose power plug... the engineer told me that the default OC settings on the ASUS products are low risk. I have the CPU set to their default in the BIOS but have not messed with the GPU. The ASUS is Precision Boost Overdrive and I just have to set "Enable". The also have Curve Optimization but that crashes the machine. I think I need to use one or the other. This gets very complex very fast. |

Yup, hard to chase down the right file. Should be towards the end of this. 2D NUQ GPU OC Experiments MSFS_AutoFPS20260204.log Am experimenting with the ASUS OC software and basically you can increase the power limit by 10% and the memory speed by 10% and get 10% performance increase. I really need to read the manuals. I guess it comes down to finding the right video. |

Well, they have an AI optimization routine. Running that and using the AI settings the GPU use % drops 10%... more headroom and little effect on temps. A new world. Some of the GPU usage readings go into the 40%s. Have to figure out the details of the CPU equivalent. |

Your log says you are no longer in test mode, which is why details logging is no longer working. Set it to true in the common config file in the app's root directory. BTW, the new release was a formal one, so we'll move conversation to it here as I am closing this one. |
