Open Video Craft 1.0.5
Version 1.0.5 makes the macOS privacy-permission onboarding neutral and compliant while retaining every reliability, export, updater, support, and window-management fix from 1.0.4.
Changed
- Camera and Microphone permission cards now use Continue before macOS presents the native permission request.
- Screen Recording guidance now uses neutral Enable wording.
- The actual allow-or-deny decision remains entirely in the macOS system dialog.
Updating
Direct-download installations on the stable 1.x line—including 1.0.0, 1.0.1, 1.0.2, 1.0.3, and 1.0.4—can update directly to 1.0.5 through the existing GitHub update channel. Mac App Store installations continue to use App Store-managed updates.
Downloads and signing
- macOS Intel and Apple Silicon builds are signed with Developer ID and notarized by Apple.
- Windows x64 Setup and Portable builds are published. Windows may display a SmartScreen warning when the repository is not configured with a Windows code-signing certificate.
- Installer checksums are listed in SHA256SUMS.txt; updater checksums are also recorded in the uploaded YAML metadata.
FFmpeg source-code offer
The macOS and Windows installers contain GPLv3-or-later FFmpeg executables. Corresponding source and build inputs are available in the release assets:
- macOS FFmpeg source offer
- Windows FFmpeg source and build scripts
- Windows statically linked dependency sources
